THE REVIVAL – 2024
After hundreds of tributes from 2008-2022, Johan Boding – Night of Queen Band & Choir are back! Now we’re returning to Switzerland to revive our tribute to Freddie and Queen, hence the name – The Revival 2024. Johan Boding, also known as the « King of Queen, » together with the Night of Queen Band and Night of Queen Choir, has celebrated Queen throughout Sweden on arena tours, in London, Liverpool, and especially in Montreux. Following the success in Montreux in 2017, we have once again been invited to Switzerland. This time, on Friday, September 6, we will be performing for 850 music students from all over the world in a fantastic concert hall outside Geneva. Since starting in 2008, the objective for Johan Boding & Night of Queen has been to honor Freddie & Queen through « sound-alike » performances, all delivered LIVE!
Johan has been able to show his wide range in several popular TV shows on Swedish television and has been seen in major tours with the music from Queen. He has been the lead singer in several different Queen tributes all over Sweden, Norway, England, Italy, Portugal and Azerbaijan. In 2017 he was invited to perform at Freddie Mercury’s official birthday-party in Montreux, Switzerland. Most of all he works with the concept ”Johan Boding – Night of Queen Band & Choir”.
Two guitarists, a drummer, a bassist, and a keyboardist—all with a love for Queen’s music and respect for an immense musical legacy. Every note, every drumbeat, every riff is meticulously studied and practiced until it sounds just like the original. No detail is too small to be refined. The Night of Queen band has spent hours studying live shows and studio recordings to understand how each song should be performed. With great joy and unwavering precision in every detail, they have created a lively, pulsating tribute to Queen that both old and new fans can appreciate.
